just cos it’s sooo sexy and ever since i knew the title i’ve been looking forward to hearing this song. the album won’t be out til august 4 but i’ve decided to transcribe and translate this since no one seems to be on it yet ^^;; i love the songs in this album as most of them are upbeat, danceable tracks, at the same time the ballads also speak to my heart.

it’s no big secret that i love sho…ever since i saw him taking care of koharu-chan in one of their (numerous) programs. i never even liked johnny’s, rap, sloping shoulders, and japanese variety shows before but he (and the rest of arashi) has changed my views drastically. i can go on and on but yeah….here’s the translation sorry if the english is weird, i was so distracted by his sexy voice…ok i gotta stop now haha ^^;; douzo!

kimi ga iru - ikimono gakari

it’s been three years since…not since i posted last (whew! haha) but since hotaru no hikari came out. and with hotaru no hikari drama season 2 starting last tanabata, i was so hooked on the song that i started on the transcription and translation right after i watched the first episode ^^;; i truly can relate to hotaru…i’m an OL too (but sometimes i feel more like a salaryman, if you get what i mean) and i looooooove lazing around in lousy clothes at home after work or on weekends. my room is an absolute mess too >.< i also think love matters are mendokusai (bothersome) but yeah, i’m not living with THE buchou so i guess i’ll have to wait and see. haha!

this will be the 19th single for ikimono gakari and will be out on august 4…thus the lyrics i put up here will be beta-version again til i get hold of the actual lyrics in kanji/kana. i hear fans are super excited since was written by the main vocalist kiyoe…and i do believe there’s a reason to be. the song was so cute and catchy and perfect for summer! perfect for the drama too <3

wow, been a while since the last post. i feel really bad not updating more often and even promised myself to post at least once a week but yeah, real life is crazy and unpredictable. also took a hiatus from the japanese cos i got addicted to a kdrama, went to korea for 5 days, and studying hangeul now, among other things. LOL. maybe next time i’ll do a korean translation…but that will be for much later, i’m still struggling to learn ehehe^^;;

anyway, thanks to everyone who still drop by the site, and keep leaving your requests at the request section (redundant much? lol). i’ll try to make time and translate in the coming days so keep ‘em coming.

yes, i’ve crossed over…after 10 years of arashi’s existence, i finally became a fan because of my friends my friend said she liked this third track from the “my girl” single, and the beat was so catchy i just had to translate it to get it out of my head ^^;;

the song makes me remember our house parties in japan when we would stay up all night, and head to the beach to wait for the sunrise. these lines are my absolute fave:

saikou yo, hajimaru kiseki ga tomaranai yo asa made
kotoshi mo, rainen mo, kyou to onaji you ni iwaeru saa
saikou no oto naru kodou hade ni sawagou asa made

we sure partied hard that time haha…this goes out to all the great people i met there! miss you so much and hope to be able to visit soon ^^;;

anyway, the single will be out tomorrow, so there are no lyrics around and i tried doing this by ear just like in okaeri. but this song was like one long sakurap and it was kinda hard, so i’m very happy to be able to get some help from sayu-chan’s lyrics here. please don’t expect much from the translation as it was pretty roughly done (during work hours no less, i was addicted to it that bad ). romaji + translation after the cut~ comments are most welcome, and please let me know if you wanna put it up somewhere else ne

kaerenai futari - judy and mary

another song which evokes the feeling of being on the beach. i really really love judy and mary and so i translated another one from them ^^; this is the very last track from their miracle night diving album. there’s actually another song with the same title but that’s by inoue yosui.

for the japanese, going to the seaside by the two of you is a significant move…it means someone has an important thing to say to you hehehe i haven’t tried it though with someone special but i nearly had the chance…and lost it. lol i really don’t like beaches near tokyo^^; anyway, this song just reflects the feeling i get when i sit on the beach and watch the sun go down. i miss sitting by the water and just looking out to the horizon, wondering about different things. sometimes i get depressed once the sun sets because i dunno, it’s just a little sad to see a wonderful day at the beach end.

anyway, here’s a live version of the song by JAM…yuki’s voice is <3!!!

calm wave - orange pekoe

finally a request finished!!! this has been due over a year now T^T i finally managed to translate this awesome song for my friend dawnie and of course rjene as well ^^

what made me translate this is because this was playing over and over on my iPod while i sat on the beach after an afternoon of surfing. the sound is very soothing and i found myself swaying along ang my thoughts drifting away…hearing this song again made me miss the beach since it’s been almost six months since i surfed. i myself became curious about the lyrics so i looked the japanese lyrics up, did the romaji and translated. i hope i did justice to the imagery of the song in its original language, it’s just too awesome to put it into english ^^;

this post has been due for a few months now…heheha i really should stop opening with complaints of how busy i am^^;; anyway, here’s a collaboration between yours truly and my anak (that’s “child” for non-Filipino speakers) kirby agudelo!!! he doesnt have any formal japanese training but he currently does romaji for some of the songs he likes, and then we both help each other with the translation. it’s like i give mini-lessons during these sessions hahaha^o^

no, he’s not really my kid (duh, he’s like 2 years older ) but i am so so proud of this guy whom i met like 5 years ago. he kept me company through chat while i was in japan. his enthusiasm towards japanese music is really infectious and inspring ^^ you can also find his other works here. two more collaboration songs coming up…enjoy this one for now!!!

hey…been ages since i posted T_T anyway, i really looove judy and mary and this is their christmas song so in the spirit of the season, i’m putting up a translation!!! i missed you bloggie T_T

anyway, the song paints a clear picture of how people spend christmas in japan. when i was there i sorta felt depressed since in my home christmas eve has always been a family holiday whereas it felt like valentines day in japan. you either have dinner, give presents to each other, and spend christmas eve together with some traditional christmas cake! but good thing was we had a big party instead and spent the whole night singing in karaoke ^^;

i managed to also snag this live performance of judy and mary for the song so i do hope you enjoy. any talk of a reunion soon? i am so there hahahah!!!

anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! kore kara mo yoroshiku ne ^_^V
