ok, continuation of the l’arc adventure in HK…after the airport chaos, we headed back and changed our money and prepared to meet my awesome friend edith for the much-anticipated tickets! finally i can get my hands on those babies i paid a lot of money for XD when i got them…between the 5 of us, there were 2 seats  in block 3, two seats next to each other in block 5, and a single seat somewhere else in block 5!!! i was horrified that one of my friends would have to sit alone so i had kevin, my former dorm mate in japan whom we met for dinner, decide thru a lottery who gets to sit where. i got one block 3 seat fair and square but the thing is, i didn’t want to let triccie to sit alone by herself throughout the live considering she was nice enough to let us stay for free in her uncle’s house >_< my conscience acted up and i ended up trading my wonderful, tetsu-side, block 3 seat to sit alone AGAIN, FOR THE SECOND TIME i have ever watched a l’arc-en-ciel concert =__=;;

anyway, the concert day finally came! we got to the place around 3ish and lotsa people were already lining up for the tour goods. i saw alma and some other friends fenced into what we called “the corrals”. the organizers had the brilliant *sarcasm right here* idea of blocking off a certain number of people to buy the goods and just have the rest randomly line up. i ran into rotch, mark and sheila and together, the eight of us stirred up more commotion by sitting in line when everyone else was standing and camwhoring galore. it was rowdy enough to attract the attention of the l’arc crew/cameraman and again, more pics and vids taken of us ^^;; wonder where those went hmm…

finally, we were ”corralled”  into the tour goods section and never in my life have i been happier to be fenced in hehehe ^^ the organizers had another brilliant idea to limit the goods to one of each item per person when they should have been doing that in the first place!!! me and chenn just decided to split one set sine there were two shirts in it but the pamphlets have run out so we didn’t get one anymore -__- we  ate a quickie sandwich dinner and headed inside…all of us trying to hide or conceal our cameras in our bags. three of my friends before me got busted and had to deposit theirs but by some sort of miracle, the lady who has been fondling searching my bag for five minutes didn’t figure out that i had one as well!!! chou rakki !^__^V

me and chenn stepped inside the arena to find our seats…the stage looked like a pirate ship from afar. i nearly cried once i realized how close the block 3 seats were to the stage TAT but my seat was in the aisle and actually closer than the 2 seats together in block 5. the place was freezing but i knew it’d be hot once the live begins. and after the 20-minute delay, the lights dimmed, people screamed, and l’arc-en-ciel was silhouetted on the big screen covering the stage!

i’m gonna do this post like i did for the smile tour i watched, so here’s the playlist with my random comments:

1. get out from the shell - very energetic opening, i was already jumping up and down even if the curtain wasn’t completely down yet ^^;;
2. driver’s high - i loooove this song! looved screaming “flash!” and “clash!” along with everyone else ^0^/
3. killing me - seen this live before, but it’s a really cool song. hyde danced around the stage a lot and by this time i was really sweaty in my watashi ♥ yaoi shirt ^^;;

THE MCs WERE ALL IN CANTONESE! MY JAPANESE DID ME NO GOOD ARRRGH!!!

4. drink it down - this was ok, i honestly don’t like this much. but the sinister sound of this song is actually good heard live
5. daybreak’s bell - another song i don’t like too much, i would have preferred they sing sunadokei instead -__-
6. winter fall - a classic! if i remember it correctly they used disco balls to light up and stage and it feels like snow was coming down on the audience…awwww…
7. eien - i feel like the some of the audienced spaced out during this song, but smile is my fave album and i looooved looooved it!!! hyde was really into the song and it felt so tender to me i just closed my eyes and drifted away…
8. kasou - one for triccie! the intro was a video of falling flower petals and the chorus slowly being played by a lone piano…breathtaking and awesome. once into the song hyde was again gyrating and moving his hips much to the fangirls’ delight!
9. forbidden lover - one for chenn! it felt like hyde was making love to the mic stand hahaha ^^
10. my heart draws a dream - one for me! i was really anticipating how i can sing along with everyone the “yume wo egaku yo” part. i was close to tears at the end of the song…hyde caressed the last lines so well it gave me shivers ♥ 
11. caress of venus - love, love this genki song!! i was already dancing alone in the aisle but i didn’t care =P
12. revelation  - another smile favorite…i loved shouting and jumping in the chorus with everyone ^^
ken mc - they were showing pics on the screen while ken jabbered on in cantonese…sorry but i am kinda reminded of jacky chan when he talks like that ^^;;

I couldn’t eat on the plane so I was terribly hungry now.
In hotel I had a sandwich (photo on screen), but then I went to the press conference (photo on screen) and later I went eating.

13. seventh heaven - another nice song…dancing around felt so nice. at this point, i didn’t care at all if i fell down the aisle steps heheheh.
14. pretty girl- hyde and ken sang this with so much energy. i noticed tho that ken broke a string and someone handed him a fresh guitar while hyde distracted the crowd. i know at some point tetsu was coming to the side where we were but since i couldn’t get close enough i kinda don’t wanna talk about it -__-

15. stay away - oh yes, the infamous switch the instruments routine. i was so pissed and i think tetsu also was when his mic didn’t work for the first two lines. SABOTAGE!!! i hate you for taking away my tetsu’s moment  >=/ anyway yukki was sooo cute singing, although he kinda didn’t belong with his hoodie/gym clothes when everyone looked like pirates washed ashore.

16. ready steady go - as usual, hyde screamed ARE YOU F*CK*NG READY?? before singing this song. hell yeah i am!!!
break - i noticed that the crowd wasn’t as coordinated as the one in japan but everyone successfully did a wave. but no clappy thingies going on hehehe^^ i asked rjene and chenn to step into the aisle with me so i can spazz around with them, but the stinky A-hole beside me called the guard and made them go back >_< kinda ruined my mood a bit but WTH, i was there to enjoy so i got over it. i just made sure i blocked his view by waving my arms a lot during the next few songs *evil laughter* 
yukki mc - short and sweet. Hello, I’m happy to be here in Hong Kong. Thanks everybody.

17. jojoushi - lovely, lovely ballad. i really like the lines “Yume nara yume no mama de kamawanai ai suru” (if this is a dream, then let it stay like that, i won’t care and go on loving) exactly how i felt at that moment T__T
18. honey  - hyde with his guitar again…i dunno why but the song didn’t do much for me ^^;;
19. link - i luuuurrrrrvvveeee this song! jumped around so much and sang along i’m pretty sure i annoyed my stinky seatmate =P
tetsu mc  - OMG i sooooo wanted his banana! he slapped it on his bass and on HIS OPEN MOUTH and what i would give to be the one to hold on to that!!!! arrrgghhhh!!! XD

hyde mc - hyde was so cute practicing his lines out of the mic range and waving his finger around while he did so. Yesterday I had century egg. Never again. Never again.

20. anata -  by now we knew this was the last song, and the plan concocted by the official HK fans club wasn’t set into action anymore as the band went on to just sing the song. feathers started falling from above and everything felt surreal…i saw a couple in the next block beside me being sweet and mushy, the guy holding the girl around her waist from behind while they swayed in time to the music. i nearly cried once we reached the chorus and hyde just let us sing on and on…and i never wanted that moment to end. 

but it ended, and we took pics in front of the stage but could not get any of the confetti/ribbon thingies that had the band’s name written on it anymore. edith introduced her friend and she had those things wrapped around her neck…good thing i was able to stop from yanking them off her hehehe ^^;; ran into more friends shinji and other people outside. we also had a message from us recorded by yet another cameraman…and it was really amusing how one girl slapped her butt in front of the camera and other girls taking pics with the cameraman. he was an instant celebrity hahaha ^0^

i didn’t know where to place these as i don’t remember when they happened anymore, and i’m not really into him but there were 2 memorable parts for me regarding hyde: 

• i think hyde’s saliva kinda trickled down the side of his mouth, so he wiped it away with a finger and PUT THAT FINGER INTO HIS MOUTH. omg 0__0
• ken was handed a camera and he pointed it at the audience, then hyde turned it on himself and swirled his tongue around at the camera. then he danced around and i though i’m gonna lose all my blood from my nosebleed, it was that sexy!!!

my overall impression: L’arc-en-ciel is still as good as ever, and i think i can’t wait until 2011 for them to perform together again. i am sorely tempted to fly to japan this june for the last set of lives but i’m so poor T_T but my heart is still dreaming, and for fans that have the same dream as mine, SIGN THIS and make it come true!
