yes, i’ve crossed over…after 10 years of arashi’s existence, i finally became a fan because of my friends my friend said she liked this third track from the “my girl” single, and the beat was so catchy i just had to translate it to get it out of my head ^^;;
the song makes me remember our house parties in japan when we would stay up all night, and head to the beach to wait for the sunrise. these lines are my absolute fave:
saikou yo, hajimaru kiseki ga tomaranai yo asa made
kotoshi mo, rainen mo, kyou to onaji you ni iwaeru saa
saikou no oto naru kodou hade ni sawagou asa made
itsumo no nakama shugoeba tsunageru kimochi ga furezu saa
we sure partied hard that time haha…this goes out to all the great people i met there! miss you so much and hope to be able to visit soon ^^;;
anyway, the single will be out tomorrow, so there are no lyrics around and i tried doing this by ear just like in okaeri. but this song was like one long sakurap and it was kinda hard, so i’m very happy to be able to get some help from sayu-chan’s lyrics here. please don’t expect much from the translation as it was pretty roughly done (during work hours no less, i was addicted to it that bad ). romaji + translation after the cut~ comments are most welcome, and please let me know if you wanna put it up somewhere else ne
it’s just weird how people forget and i feel like i’m the only one who remembers.
anyway, love this song and this goes out to everyone i miss…especially you, yes, you. (haha megan mcafferty addict :P) i wish you’d let me know you’re alive at the very least.
sorry for the short post as i’m saving my energies for a BIG translation project! will tell you guys once it’s up
another song which evokes the feeling of being on the beach. i really really love judy and mary and so i translated another one from them ^^; this is the very last track from their miracle night diving album. there’s actually another song with the same title but that’s by inoue yosui.
for the japanese, going to the seaside by the two of you is a significant move…it means someone has an important thing to say to you hehehe i haven’t tried it though with someone special but i nearly had the chance…and lost it. lol i really don’t like beaches near tokyo^^; anyway, this song just reflects the feeling i get when i sit on the beach and watch the sun go down. i miss sitting by the water and just looking out to the horizon, wondering about different things. sometimes i get depressed once the sun sets because i dunno, it’s just a little sad to see a wonderful day at the beach end.
finally a request finished!!! this has been due over a year now T^T i finally managed to translate this awesome song for my friend dawnie and of course rjene as well ^^
what made me translate this is because this was playing over and over on my iPod while i sat on the beach after an afternoon of surfing. the sound is very soothing and i found myself swaying along ang my thoughts drifting away…hearing this song again made me miss the beach since it’s been almost six months since i surfed. i myself became curious about the lyrics so i looked the japanese lyrics up, did the romaji and translated. i hope i did justice to the imagery of the song in its original language, it’s just too awesome to put it into english ^^;
no pv so i’m embedding an mp3 here from imeem. the japanese lyrics are also here.
after almost a year, the L’arc-en-Ciel L’7 documentary DVD has come out…me and my friends were all screaming our lungs out in excitement, waiting to see if our fangirl stalking in the airport made it into the DVD. lo and behold…it did!!!! proof will come after the jump~
this post has been due for a few months now…heheha i really should stop opening with complaints of how busy i am^^;; anyway, here’s a collaboration between yours truly and my anak (that’s “child” for non-Filipino speakers) kirby agudelo!!! he doesnt have any formal japanese training but he currently does romaji for some of the songs he likes, and then we both help each other with the translation. it’s like i give mini-lessons during these sessions hahaha^o^
no, he’s not really my kid (duh, he’s like 2 years older ) but i am so so proud of this guy whom i met like 5 years ago. he kept me company through chat while i was in japan. his enthusiasm towards japanese music is really infectious and inspring ^^ you can also find his other works here. two more collaboration songs coming up…enjoy this one for now!!!
hey…been ages since i posted T_T anyway, i really looove judy and mary and this is their christmas song so in the spirit of the season, i’m putting up a translation!!! i missed you bloggie T_T
anyway, the song paints a clear picture of how people spend christmas in japan. when i was there i sorta felt depressed since in my home christmas eve has always been a family holiday whereas it felt like valentines day in japan. you either have dinner, give presents to each other, and spend christmas eve together with some traditional christmas cake! but good thing was we had a big party instead and spent the whole night singing in karaoke ^^;
i managed to also snag this live performance of judy and mary for the song so i do hope you enjoy. any talk of a reunion soon? i am so there hahahah!!!
anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! kore kara mo yoroshiku ne ^_^V
the whole month of september passed by and not a single post. busy as always ^^; i managed to change the layout but couldn’t put in any word aside from that. to the people with requests, for some reason with the change in layout i lost that thread…i promise to work on them once i have that fixed ^^;;
anyway, i liked this song because it’s kinda different from all the other misia songs i had. when a song makes me stop what i’m doing and makes me listen closely, it means i’m hooked and if i can’t find a translation for it, most probably i’ll translate it myself ^^; it is also another random song i liked from my little mp3 player which kept me sane tided me over when i broke my ipod and had no money to get a new one. it’s a really easy song to listen to even though it’s another breakup song (hahaha).
i was also inspired to translate this upon hearing from my friend edith that misia’s performing in HK this week (or was it last week? i forget^^;) hopefully she had fun and i also hope misia gained more fans ^^
this song’s really not so popular so i have no video to share with you guys. i’ll put up the mp3 here once rjene helps lil-ol’-techie-inept me ^^;;
i’ve posted this translation before, and i think this must be one of my first jpop translations ever. i wrote this a few days before i left japan when i was feeling very confused, and once i dug up the old post from my previous blog i felt kinda stupid for writing it. owell, no regrets as i became what i am now because of the past. and this song literally makes me stop whenever i hear it. hikki really writes so well, and i consider most of her songs as my life’s soundtrack.
i am currently addicted to the twilight book series by stephenie meyer and bought the entire set as a birthday gift to myself (among other things…im so broke now XD) i won’t spill the story here, but i feel like this song really suits bella and edward’s love story. i wish i had a shiny, shimmery, sparkly boyfriend like edward for my birthday instead of just books tho
oh well, no PV for this one…maybe when the movie’s out i’ll make a fanvid with this song. enjoy the mp3 and (improved) translations instead
EDIT: I’m putting up the opening credits of Innocent Love here, cos i’ve watched it and it really fits the song. I wanted to put up the wedding (oops, spoiler?) version but can’t find anything uploaded ^^;; I guess a lot of people are now enjoying the song as much as I do. Read the rest of this entry »
nah, i don’t mean that i want to become nakashima mika (although that’s a good thought too, hmmm…) but i wanted to be sunao. sunao means honest, sincere, obedient; meek; docile; unaffected (?!)… i just couldn’t be like that in situations when i should be, thus a lot of what-ifs and what-could-have-beens in my life now. this song just caught my attention on my random playlist (SHAMELESS PLUG: i tell you guys, seeqpod is the best! or at least the playlist i put together there :P)
this song is also part of nakashima mika’s 4th album entitles YES, which was released march 14, 2007 ( i have a thing for white day, yeah i know) and is the theme for NTT docomo’s 2-month campaign “sincerity,” hence i titled the translation as such. although i heard this was her lowest selling single ever, i really like it for its simple, honest lyrics and cool sound. the cover of the single also blows me away…so different from her nana look hehe ^^
i also couldn’t find a PV or the CM so i am going to put up my friend jhona’s version here. she’s the one i mentioned in my previous post…hehe i hope she doesn’t mind me putting her video up here ^^;;
